When opening AI file, it opens with weird inverted colors

The original colors are nowhere to be found. Is there any way to fix this or will I have to start over?

And if they are really inverted, can you choose Edit > Edit Colors > Invert Colors to invert them back?

It's a png image. It doesn't invert back.
