Question

Where do I put a custom spot color swatch document in AI 2024??

I have this problem every time.  I have a custom spot color swatch document that I created to be the default for every new AI document.  I've done this for years decades.  EVERY time there's an upgrade I have the same problem - where the hell do I put the document?

Mac Mini Pro, OS 14.something Sonoma (latest version as of yesterday), AI 2024.

It is an old helpfile that shows where to put a custom new document profile:

Doesn't work.  I've deleted all the support folders for older versions of Illustrator, and put my custom swatch palette into the correct folder, but every time I restart AI it goes back to the old version, not the updated one.

And the "find" function on newer versions of the Mac OS is utterly useless (and "Spotlight is even more useless") since it refuses to find files that I know 100% I have the correct file name for.

Ithink we misunderstood each other. I was thinking that you meant a new document profile that contains your spot color, but you seem to be talking about a swatch library?
