Adobe Indesign images, text, and tables disappearing

I am working with a very large Indesign document over 250 pages. All the content is there when I open the document. As I am working, content such as images, tables and text begin to disappear on the pages. I am not sure what is going on. Please advise. Thanks!

Which version of InDesign and OS?

How much RAM and spare hard disk capacity do you have?

Try saving the document as an IDML document, renaming it and opening it again in InDesign, this will clear out the crud that builds up and can cause file corruption.

Hi Derek, thanks for your reply.

I am running the latest version of Indesign.

My mac has 16gb of storage, a 1TB flash storage and I have a 12TB external drive.

I will try saving as an IDML and see if that works.

Do you mean 16GB of RAM (not storage)?
