Animation with a custom path not starting on page load

I'm trying to create an animation with a custom path (select shape, select path and click the convert to motion path button).

I want the animation to start on page load, but it seems to me that it will not happen unless I use any of the other events to start the animation.

In other words, using an animation with a custom path wont play on page load.

Any ideas?

Check the timing in the timing panel. Is your animation at the top of the list? You can also group animated elements in order to play those simultaneously.
