Bold only certain words?

I have a very large glossary to lay out and would like to bold only the first word of each entry (each entry is a paragraph). Is there a way to do this using find/replace? Thank you very much.

You could create a nested style. This would enable you to specify that the first word of each paragraph to which the nested style is applied has a character style applied to it that specifies bold type. For information about creating a nested style see https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/drop-caps-nested-styles.html.
