Delete and command buttons not working in InDesign

Hi there. My delete and command buttons aren't working in InDesign. They works on other applications.

 

Is this a bug with the latest InDesign install? 

 

When I opened the latest InDesign all of the toolbars had disappeard. And workspace presents do not show properly. I'm not sure if this is linked somehow?

 

Any advice would be aappreciated.

If this happens only with one file, you might save it as an IDML (File > Save As > InDesign CS4 or Later [IDML] and reopen it to fix corruption.

 

But it sounds like the problem is with all files, right? If so, the first thing to try is to restore InDesign preferences and caches. Here are some directions to do that:

Thanks for getting back to me Steve. I deleted the preferences which I'm not sure fixed it as I then couldn't create an InDeisgn documnet. But then had a notification for another InDesign update which has seemed to sort it. Perhaps a combo of these did the job.
