How can I get rid of the empty line at the top of a text frame that's threaded to a previous one?

I have created two threaded frames with several paragraphs of text.

When I resize the first frame, it relocates the text in the second frame, and I am sometimes left with an empty line at the top of said frame.

Is there any way to get rid of this empty line at the top automatically, without deleting it, when it happens to appear at the top of the second (and subsequent) text frames?
