How do i get Indesign's media player to show alt text?

I've typed alt text into the field for it in InDesign's media player, but the only ALT text it shows in PDF is "Click to activate." 

How do I get my PDF Alt text to display in the reader? I'm using the 'standard poster,' if that matters.

      If you're referring to video for a PDF you can give that up right now. You're using 11-year-old software and much has changed since its release. There's no way you're going to get this work in any kind of an acceptable manner and the alt-text is the least of the issues.
