some one could help me on this.

The JPEG image actual size is  4 MB and this needs to be compress to  below 1.5Mb without affecting the resolution when embedding the image in indesign image frame.  is there any built-in option or  config available in xPression tool ?

Hi @Janaki krish , InDesign doesn’t compress or resample an image when you embed. You can unembed an embedded link and choose to relink to the original or save and relink to a copy—if you do that you’ll see that image pixels have not changed.

The only way to resample images embedded or not, would be on an Export—the PDF Export Compression tab lets you set up rules for resampling and compression

You cannot reduce the image size without either reducing the number of pixels, which will reduce the resolution (and adversely affect the image quailty), or by reduciung the quality of the image compression, which will also seriously damage image quality in all probabilty.
