Question

Indesign broken links to photo's

Hi, hoping someone can help!

I have searched through all of the advice, but cannot seem to get the right answer (I am probably doing something wrong!)

I have a message that appears when I open up my document in InDesign

I have tried the links and relinks - but, as the photographs are not linked to a folder I don't seem to be able to restore or remove them - ideally, I would like to remove any links to the photographs.

When I DID manage to remove them, the pop up box said they had been removed, but all it did was put them back in - so I ended up with double.

I have since reverted back to previously saved versions, so have had to duplicate and re-do my work over and over!

Any advice or things to try would be appreciated!!

Karen

You have to go image by image and delete them.

Images are dynamically linked in InDesign - to the folder they were linked from.

A missing link means that the image information will be missing for final output.

Found a script here that will remove all missing links (apparently)
