InDesign fonts missing 17.3 x 64

There are 2 of us here in our office using InDesign.  One of us is having issues with fonts missing, but the other one is not.  We have been opening the same files for several years but just in the last week my version seems to be missing fonts that it was not missing prior.  The other individual is still able to open the files without those fonts missing.

What would cause this?

    Hi gailm74253389,

you can look that up even without having admin rights.

At least you can do this with the machine where no fonts are missing.

    Menu Edit > Find Fonts…

Here you see all font styles that are used in a particular document.

Select one and go to "More Info…" and you can trace more Information about a used font.

Under item "Path:" you should see where the font style is installed.

    A workaround:

Create a folder named exactly Document fonts in the folder where your InDesign document file is positioned.

Put all necessary font files for that document to that Document fonts folder. Restart InDesign and open the document again. Now all missing fonts should be available.

    1. Where are those fonts saved? On the computer local or on some cloud place?
    2. How are those installed?
    3. Is some other program, like a font management program involved?
    4. What type of font are those?

Since I don't have admin rights to my computer I'm not sure where they are installed.  My IT department set up the computer.  I would bet on the individual machines.

Here are a couple fonts that are missing:

    Times Regular

    DIN (OTF) Bold

    Gotham Condensed Book Regular

    Kalinga Regular

    Adequate Extra Light

    DINCond Medium Regular

Like I said, my coworker doesn't have any issues and those fonts show up for her.  Is there a way that I can get the fonts that she has saved on her computer?
