Indesign missing fonts

Hi! The last few times that I used Indesign I seem to be having the same problem with different files regarding missing fonts. It always happens in the same sequence.... first Indesign crashes and upon reolounching the files, the program shows a warning sign, that some fonts are missing, although they are installed on the computer and activated in the cloud and were previously, while creating the file working properly. I tried several times to activate/deactivate the fonts, signing in/out of the cloud and restarting the computer and nothing seems to be working. Is there an option how to solve this issue, because is really disturbing the workflow. Thank you!

You should not: either install the font on your computer or activate it in the cloud, but not both. Of course, if fonts are not the same you can have cloud activated fonts and locally installed on your computer.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Please ensure that you have installed the latest version of InDesign which is 17.3? If it's already up to date, please share a few more details like:

 

  1. The version of the OS.
  2. Are you able to use that font in any other Adobe application?
