Keyboard Shortcut for Flip Horizontal – Unwanted Duplication

When I create a custom shortcut for Object/Transform/Flip Horizontal or Object/Transform/Flip Vertical, using the shortcut duplicates the selected object in addition to flipping it. I've tried using different key combinations for the shortcut, but they all have done the same thing. Maybe a bug? Or maybe I'm missing something.

Thanks!

Correct answer jmlevy

Do you use the Alt/Option key? It duplicates objects.

Yup, looks like all the different combinations I was trying all had option in them. I guess I didn't consider that it would duplicate without clicking and dragging. Thanks (again) to you and Uwe.

What shortcut did you apply?

What are your key combinations for

[ 1 ] Object > Transform > Flip Horizontal

[ 2 ] Object > Transform > Flip Vertical
