Line break changes unnecessarily

The attached image should explain everything. I have a floating frame and a long paragraph below, when doing any slight change to the float frame (like position movement) then InDesign modifies the paragraph line breaks across the document. 

 

Basically, this line break issue happens on any changes I do to the document. I tried creating a small dummy frame over the paragraphs, line break issue come up, and then deleting the dummy frame leaves the wrong/ modified line breaks as is it.

 

I tried changing the "Adobe paragraph composer" to Line Composer, but still the same problem.

 

Has anyone faced this problem earlier? any idea would be appreciated.

It's a recomposition problem. Any time you make the smallest of changes, InDesign recomposes the story you're working on. When you undo that change InDesign can go back to its previous change (before recomposition, that is). It can happen if there is very, very, little difference between the two states, and rounding errors in the calculations at each recomposition can flip the story between one state and the other.

 

One thing you can do is to force a recomposition by pressing Ctrl+Alt+/ (or its Mac equivalent) and see whether tha stabilises the story.

 

If that doesn't work, disable hyphenation on Delftia. Ugly, but at some stage you have littke choice.

    Rounding errors on the recomposition, ah make sense!


    I tried the recomposition using a shortcut/script and it doesn't fix the problem!


    In my scenario: On the final stage of the document I do a page number change, which forces the recto/verso change applied to all the pages. This results in a lot of word movement and hyphenation across the document. Seems like I've no choice finding these words and freezing the breaking (some words even don't have any character style applied). Does my scenario of page number change triggers any other idea?

    If the change must be made in the "float frame," it's inevitable that it will affect the text below.

     

    To keep it from happening accidentally, lock the "float frame".
