links greyed out

Since the last update, all of my links in InDesign are appearing this way, unless I view them in overprint mode. (black outline with greyed out X)
All links are updated and correct.
Indesign version 19.4 on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5.

Wondering if there is a setting I need to check?
