Merci par avance 😉

If other suggestions don't help:

InDesign 18.4 introduced numerous PDF export problems which may or may not be related to your issue. Some of them - but not all - were fixed in 18.5. Try to roll back to InDesign 18.3 (you can do it from the Creative Cloud app). You'll need to install InDesign 2023 first if you don't have it anymore.

If you don't have any issues with 18.3 then you can report your problem as a bug to Adobe.

Try saving the InDesign file as IDML. Open that IDML file in InDesign and export that to PDF.

If it's still happening we're going to need more detail. What version of InDesign? What operating system? How much RAM do you have?

Have you tried splitting the export into pieces? Export the first half of the document and if it's okay, export the other half. If they're both okay, you can combine them in Acrobat.

Hello, thank you very much for your reply.
I'll try to save it in idml format and get back to you.

When the problem started, I was using indesign version 18.5, I tested 19.0, but it doesn't change anything.
I'm on Mac OS Big Sur, version 11.6.8 and I have 8 GB of memory.

I saved my file in two parts, but the bugs were still present in both parts.

So I'm going to try the idml format and I'll keep you posted.
Thanks again for your help.

I can't be sure it's a factor, but 8GB or RAM is not very much at all. Try exporting 10 pages at a time.

Hello, thank you for your suggestion. My previous pdfs worked fine under version 18.5. The day the bugs started, I noticed that I had two versions of indesign installed simultaneously, 18.5 and 19.0, which I hadn't noticed was also installed. So I uninstalled version 18.5 and kept 19.0. As the problems continued, I went back to version 18.5, but the problems were still there, whereas this version hadn't caused me any problems when I created a pdf last June, unless it was an earlier version, but I didn't see it.
I'm going to test the proposed solutions, and if that's not enough I'll do as you advise.
Thank you very much for your help.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
