Search for Missing Links is Greyed Out - is this a problem with InDesign

I am using InDesign 2024 on a Mac using Sonoma. All the latest versions.  Just transfered all files to a new computer.  I have a file with over 400 links and but when opening the file it is saying they are missing, update links.  I do that and many of the links are not updated, I go to relink the file and the 'Search for Missing Liunks in this Folder' is greyed out!  Seen other suggestions on how to fix this but it has not worked.

Anybody from Adobe here to explain why this is happening?

How did you move the files?

The standard Migration from old Mac to New Mac.

This is why I work in Dropbox and OneDrive folders. Log in to new computer and you're good to go.

It sounds like you missed some files.
