Two Docs Should be Identical but Paste in Place isn't matching up.

I have two docs that look identical in Document Setup.

When I copy and try to "Paste in Place" (shft+option+cmnd+v) guidelines from one doc to the other only the outer margin guidelines match up. The inner guides do not appear to paste in the correct place. Is there another setting that might be differnt about the doc sizes?

Hi @Doc_Morrow , Each page within a document can have its own custom width, height, and margin settings. As Uwe suggests you can select a page in the Pages panel, and with the Transform Panel check its actual dimensions. Also check its margin guides via Layout>Margins and Columns.

I get what your saying. Yes i did confirm the Pages and Doc settings were the same.

Turns out it was margins and column settings that were different fromt the doc settings.

Hi @Doc_Morrow ,

best use the Page tool together with the Transform panel to verify that the size of the pages of both documents on the source spread and also on the target spread is exactly the same.

Make sure the ruler zero points are the same in both docs...

First thing I'd try is resetting preferences.
