Unable to see the images in InDesign MacBook

Hello everyone!!! I have been experiencing a problem on Indesign for a while now. After a few days of creating a document with images, the images are not displayed and I find myself having to insert them all over again. I have tried updating both my MacBook and the Indesign app, I have also deleted all previous preference settings. I attach a picture of how the images are displayed, hoping someone can help me, thanks!!!

Hi @Ylenia32826599286h it looks like you have switched the display performance to “fast display”. Go to the View menu > Display performance and choose either “Typical display” or “High quality display”

You also should know that InDesign is not yet supported on Sonoma.

Hi. I think that was the problem, although I still can't see the images of this specific document (I probably have to re-enter them), however the images of my old documents that I didn't see before are now visible, I just have to wait a few days and see if it works with new documents as well. Thank you so much for your reply!!!

Hi @Ylenia32826599286h,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry to hear you are unable to see the images in InDesign. We would like to know a few more details-

The version of InDesign installed on your machine and the details of your operating system.

Does that happen with all the images you place and with all files or with a specific image or specific file?

Are you placing the image or using drag & drop to place an image?

Please try restarting the machine and relaunching InDesign and let us know if that helps.

We will try our best to help.

Thanks,

Harshika

Hi! The version of Indesign is 19.0, the version on my MacBook is Sonoma 14.0.
I find the problem with all images of any type, and to insert images I create the frame and add the file with command+D. I have tried several times to uninstall and reinstall the app but without solving the problem.
The "strange" thing is that this happens only a few days after creating the document.

Thank you for for the prompt response.
