Question

Unlink a line with its Underline or Strikethrough

Hello.,

I have a some lnes of underline text which I am using as a divider between the lines. Instead of making separate box or multiple lines, I have used Underline because its easy to implement.

I am stuck at one positon. I want to give a text inset of 2 mm at the left and right. On doing that, the text also underline also moves with the text (as that is the way it should be). I want the underline to remain where it is but and inset or indent the text from both the sides.

Any tricks or suggestions? Thanks

I have attached a screentshot.

  1.  how to add the inset? a. inset of the text frame (Ctrl+B), b. Tabulations ....
  2. Instead of underline, you could use Paragraph Rules but that means you add a return at the ens of each line
  3. I think linking small text boxes would be too time consuming
  4. You can draw a line, cut it and paste it inside the text frame as an achored object to separate lines of text. Set the Object style on the first line before cutting it to control them all once duplicated
