Question

While all pages appear in preview in "Booklet" option, some pages blank when printed.

I am trying to print a PDF that totals 32 pages. I select the booklet option in print settings, with front and back priniting. The printer destination is capable of front and back printing. The print preview shows everything as I would like it, but when I print, some of the booklet pages are just gone. As in, one half of the 8 1/2" x 11" sheet is missing on one side, while the other side has both "pages". Weirder still is this only occurs on a select few of the printed sheets. Some have both the back and front of the sheet having all the proper layout.

There are no blank pages in the file, so I am at a loss as o what could be happening.

Hi @Patrick30778692o6ja , Just to be clear you are printing from Acrobat not InDesign right? Are the page dimensions of your PDF’s 32 pages 5.5” x 8.5”, so when the printer spreads are printed on an 11x8.5 sheet they fit?

Printing from Acrobat. The pages themselves within the file, if printed normally, would fit on a normal 8.5" x 11" sheet. Upon selecting the booklet option in the print settings, the print preview shows the pages bing doubled on a landscape orientation sheet, and organized so that when printed, the sheets can be stacked and folded into a booklet. However, some of the now 5.5 x 8.5 pages are just not printed, despite appearing on the print preview.

Might be better to ask in the Acrobat forum—sounds like a print driver issue.

This might help it includes an InDesign imposition script:

A quick addition, this even occurs when I select "Print to PDF". So its not the printer.
