Best method to export from LR6 for later import into LRc?

Question

I'm currently running LR6 on a Win7 computer that cannot be upgraded to Win10.

I got a new computer running Win11 on which I will use a new subscription to PS, LR, & LRc.

What is the best method for exporting my images from LR6 onto an external drive, from which I could import into the new computer & LR or LRc?

No exporting needed. No importing needed. Copy the Lr 6 catalog file and all the photos to the new computer. Launch LrC, then use the menu command File->Open Catalog and select the Lr 6 catalog file. You may have to reconnect the photos in LrC, see this document: http://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_find_folder/find-folder.htm

And just in case you are tempted to export anyway, don't. Remember: No exporting needed. No importing needed.
