Cannot upload new folder anymore

All of a sudden, pictures cannot be uploaded into Lightroom Classic. I go to Add Folder, select the folder of choice, press import. Even though LC seems to import, after a while it stops and gives the error as can be seen in the picture. It says: 'There are no pictures or video's to import'. The screen says: 'No photo's in selected folder'.

When there actually are pictures in the folder, no hidden submaps or anything. I tried another folder with lesser pictures, different locations to import from (external drive, desktop), but is doesn't work.

[Dutch word 'map' was changed to 'folder' by moderator who speaks Dutch]

This usually indicates that you are trying to import photos that have previously been imported into Lightroom Classic. In this case, you should not import the photos again, instead you need to find the photos in Lightroom Classic.

Did you upgrade MacOS recently? Apple changed the security requirements in MacOS Monterey. Go to MacOS 'System Settings - Security & Privacy' and add Lightroom Classic and Photoshop to "Full Disk Access". Click on the lock icon to unlock the settings, then click on the plus icon to add Lightroom Classic and/or Photoshop if it isn't already listed. If it is listed, then just enable the checkbox. Thank you Johan, for the informative comment! I changed the settings, but nothing changed, unfortunately. It appeared I had already imported the pictures, but I couldn't find out in which map they were. I restored it and now it is okay.

For those who get confused: The Dutch word 'map' translates to 'folder' in English. The English word 'map' means 'kaart' in Dutch.

It seemed I had indeed already uploaded the pictures, but I couldn't find them anywhere. They stayed in the 'recently added' list, even though I had deleted the folder in which the pictures where supposed to be.

I deleted them from this list, in whatever folder they were in, and now I was able to add them again. Thank you for your suggestion! It had me look closer and I found the solution.
