Canon Pixma Pro-200 CUPS Driver Crashes Lightroom in Ventura

Reliably crashes every time:  Under Ventura, installed latest Canon CUPS driver for Pixma Pro-200.

When opening printer settings, with the new Ventura design (looking like iOS) - can't change any setting really, and when clicking dialog "Cancel" Lightroom crashes.

 

Any experiences?

 

I really don't want to use AirPrint...

Just adding some addtl info: talked to Canon, they referred me to Apple. Sigh.
