Cant find my 2000 DNGs

Hi, I cant find my 2000 dngs from a shoot.

I save my photos off of cards into a file marked "shoot name" raw. I then import photos into LR classic and direct the imported DNGs to another folder marked "shoot name" LR. This is where I work on them. Then export tweaked photos into "shoot name" finished folder.

On this shoot, I worked on 2000 or more photos for about 2 days. Went to look at them today and they are not in this folder. Completely empty.

I tried to see what happens when I import that Raw folder and it shows the ones I imported as greyed out. So it knows theyve been imported. But cant find any trace of them after that.

I am guessing I pointed the dngs to the wrong folder, but I searched every HD I have used in the last 3 months and nothing.

I really dont want to reimport and redo the 2000+ images as I heavily worked them.

Any thoughts on what to do? Appreacite the help.

Select "All Photographs", make sure that you do not have an active filter, and sort by capture date. Can you still not find them now?

Hi thanks for your help. It looks like I sent them into another folder but they werent converted to dng. They are still a CR2, but it looks like all my work is still active, thank God. So I think Im good? Weird why they were not converted. Any issues working with them in a CR2 format vs dng? Have never done that before.

There is no difference working with raw or dng, but you can convert raw to dng after they have been imported as well.
