Question

Choosing the right graphic card for Lightroom Classic

Hi to all

My friend asked me to help him to choose the right graphic card for his system, but I couldn't because I don't use Lightroom. All answers I found online are too old and not the single one taking into consideration the new features of Lightroom Classic.

I'll appreciate it if anyone can help. He is thinking of buying RTX 3070 ti or 3080 or 4060

The rest of the system is i5 10400F with 32 GB DDR4 and Samsung 970EVO m.2 1TB drive

I have the NVidia RTX 3060, and that works as well. My 24 megapixel originals can be denoised in under 10 seconds.

Thanks. And what is the rest of your system? I saw people say that Lightroom depends more on CPU than on GPU. GPU is used just for AI things as far as I heard from others

GPU is used for more than just AI. Perhaps someone can jump in and provide a list of what GPU is used for in Lightroom Classic 12.5. My CPU is pretty fast: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor 3.70 GHz

Any of the cards you mention should be fine as long as they have 8GB of VRAM or more.
