Click the circle-shaped Masking icon (or press Shift-W) just below the Histogram. Then select the type of Mask you'd like to use. There are numerous videos and tutorials that describe the changes in LRC version 12 which you should watch asap!

Spend some more time with the masking options for sky and subject and background you'll come to love it 🙂
