Edit In is not working

I am using Lightroom Classic 12.5 on Windows 10

Edit in has stopped working. All third party apps including Photoshop show but are unavailable. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling LRC but without success.

Edit in was working just a couple of days ago.

Can anyone tell me how to get edit in working again,

Make sure you are not using SMART PREVIEWS and make sure the drive that has the images is available and connected properly
