Question

facial recognition in crowd shots - any way to bulk reject proposed faces?

Hi -

As I'm sure most of you know, facial recognition in crowd shots is inefficient - almost none of the faces are relevant and I want to eliminate the suggestions LrC makes. (Ideally there'd be a way to supress facial recognition completely if the face was below a certain % of the image, but that's a separate thread.)

I'm hoping the kind people here can suggest ways to do bulk rejection of the suggestions rather than doing them one by one. I'm imagining something like a "select all" for the suggestions on an image or set of images, followed by a rejection of the suggestion. Or a way to selectively turn off facial recognition for a set of images.

Thank you for your help.

1. Select one or more of the photos containing crowd shots.

2. Do View > People. It will show the faces in all the photos of the current source (folder or collection), and the faces of the photos from step 1 will be selected (highlighted with white borders).

3. Do Photo > People > Remove Face Region.

As usual, the keyboard shortcuts for these commands are shown next to the menu items.
