Filter collection not working in 12.3

I am running lightroom classic 12.3 on macOS 13.3.1 (a). If I try to search collections via filter collections it does not work. I have optimized the catalog, reset preferences, un-installed and reinstalled 12.3 (with reboots between the steps). Is anyone else having this issue?

If you reset preferences following these steps:

then there's no need to do it again. But if you have doubts, follow those steps carefully again.

 

Then try this:

 

1. Do Catalog Settings > General > Show to open Finder on the current catalog folder.

 

2. Exit LR.

 

3. In the catalog folder, delete the file "<catalog> Helper.lrdata" (and no other file!!!).  

 

4. Restart LR, and it will rebuild that file.

 

The Helper.lrdata file caches information about folders and collections, and LR infrequently corrupts it.

Please provide more details. When you filter collections, what do you type in that box? What happens? Can you show us a screen capture of your text in the Filter Collections bar and the rest of the collections panel (maybe that has to be two screen captures) so we can see it is not finding the collection with the name you typed in the filter collections bar? Please use the "Insert Photos" icon; do NOT attach files.

I type a name (or partial name) of the collection and then hit enter. In the past this worked without any issues. Here's an example.

I tried this as "- Adobe" and "Adobe" and it did not filter. I laso tried "Niagara" looking for collections from Niagara Falls and it did not work.

 

I also tried other collection names and nothing worked. I also tried collections that were not part of a collection set and the filter still did not work. In the past it would only collections based on the search criteria.
