Folder not showing up in catalog after import

So weird - never seen this before.  I import folders to an external drive.   I see all my other folders, but this one I don't see anywhere.   I see the image thumbnails at the bottom after the import, but no folder anywhere in the left-hand column.   Any advice would be appreciated to the max! Thank you!
