Question

How to get Denoise extension when round tripping from Lightroom

When I send a photo from Lightroom to any of the Topaz Lab AI tools (Denoise, Sharpen and Gigapixel) I would like the filename to come back with the Topaz tool extension as the suffix. These are -Denoise, -Sharpen, -Gigapixel. The file comes back as original_filename-Edit. I checked the Lightroom Prefences undre the external editor section and there are multiple options. I don't see any that would change the default Lightroom and Photoshop -Edit. No luck finding anything on the Adobe or Topaz FAQs. TIA.

The filename is determined in the external editor preferences, all the way at the bottom. You can change this, but you can only use one and the same name for all editors and plugins, not a different name per editor.

Thanks. Wonder why then the external editors give you the option of changing the extension.

I'm using Windows 10 with the latest LR and Denoise, etc. versions.
