import 12.1 hangs with windows 11

Hi, I'm a new user of Lightroom classic, Windows 11 release 12.1

Enjoying a class I'm taking, but I cannot import.

I choose the folder on my c drive. Wait and wait and nothing happens.

If I view with Explorer, I see the files.

Is there something I'm missing ?It doesn't seem that this should be so difficult.

I can also access the photos with Photoshop.

I thought it might be space, but I have 70 gig space free.

Any advice would be appreciated.

It looks like a great program, but if this doesn't work I'll just have to move on.

Just to save any helpers some time, I found the solution.  I'm an old computer person.  Used the oldest technique.  Uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom.  Should have thought of it sooner. The next best known techique is to reboot.

Works great.
