Incompatibility of Lightroom Classic with Catalina V10.15.7 for recognizing images from a DSLR?

I recently upgraded to Catalina 10.15.7 and Lightroom Classic (V13.2) is not able to read images on my data card. I tried to check 'Removeable Volumes" and 'Full Disc Access' but those options are not available to me (greyed out). I have read on the forum that there was an incompatibility between Catalina and Lightroom Classic when Catalina was first introduced. I can't upgrade beyond Catalina. Is there another version of Lightroom that I could use? Any help would be appreciated.
