Lightoom stuck when filtering by text
Steps to reproduce:
- Directory with first level subdirectories.
- DNG and PSD files on those subdirectories (380 total, cca 20 per directory).
- I have a string consisting of comma separated file names that match some of the files in the catalog. There is about 280 filenames in that string. I need to filter those files and assign start rating to them.
- Show all files by selecting the top directory in "Folders" panel in "Library" module.
- Ctrl+F to show Filters and select filter by text. I pick search in "Filename", "Contains" and input my string
- Photos are filtered (up to this moment as expected).
- I hit the Num5 to assign star rating to my selected photos. Nothing happens except "Set rating" process is shown in the top left of the screen. That process is stuck on the beginning though. No stars are assigned. Trying to do more actions (hit Num5 again) only leads to spawning more processes that are stuck the same way.
- From this point forward even if I remove the filter string, close LR and reopen it again, the string is still present in the filter text field. So that LR catalog is sort of stuck at that state. By some combination of closing it, removing catalog sidecar files and waiting, it is possible to get it unstuck after a while.
This doesn't happen everytime I try to filter many photos by text but it happens a lot.
