LR CC Crashes after Sleep

I am running Classic CC 7.5 on Windows 10 - Home Premium Edition 10.0.17134.  Catalog is on an internal SSD and images are on a Synology NAS.  If I leave my PC long enough for it to go to sleep with Lightroom open, when I return, LR crashes and needs to restart.  There have been no problems with the catalog so right now this is a nuisance more than anything else but I am concerned that this will not always be the case.

I have seem similar problems reported ! on other sites but no solutions.

I am glad to post an error log if someone can tell me how to capture one.

Behavior is consistent and easy to reproduce.

I know this is a old post, but i've had the same issue but it was with my catalog being on an external hard drive. What i did to solve it was change power settings of windows so it doesnt 'turn off' USB when it goes to sleep. for Windows 10 you go to power settings - advanced settings and scroll to USB.

For Windows 11 you go to settings - bluetooth and devices - scroll down to USB - Tick off USB power saving.

I would highly suspect the problem is in the images being on the NAS and Lightroom freaking when the images are not immediately available when it wakes from sleep. How is your NAS connected? Through something like iSCSI or just a normal network mount?

THis is the exact message that comes up each time.

I experienced that behavior quite some time ago, before Lightroom Classic CC. I decided the best solution was to either not leave Lightroom open or not allow the computer to go to sleep. I chose both of those options and haven't had any problems since. I don't see any reason to leave Lightroom open when not in use, and I don't see any reason or advantage to allow the computer to go to sleep. That's just my opinion, yours may vary.

Thank you for the suggestions.  I have also tries both of these.  When I step away from an editing session I do not want to close LR each time and then restart.  Sleep mode does save some power.  So, while either of these options work, they do not solve the underlying problem.

Never the less it would be unfortunate to end up with a corrupt catalog. Not sure what advantage there is to leaving apps open while quitting them clears the cache.
