I hace LR 6 ver 6.14. I have no intention to upgrade to a monthly subscriptin so i need to get this figured out. When I find the missing photo I find them but then go to select them and LR crashes and asks to send a report. I reopen and I get a message that says :

Adobe Application Manager, required to verify your license, is missing or damaged.

Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from

http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager.

That link takes me to a page that is non exixt

I am on a 2018 MB Pro. I have reset the preferences, restarted my computer to no avail.  Any ideas of what to do?  Uninstall and reinstall?

First thing do not uninstall as Lightroom 6.14 cannot install on the latest versions of macOS, it may run if you updated your Mac recently. Please provide the version number of macOS you have installed so other users can offer some advice on getting things running again.
