Question

LRc just started to download all folders from drives

I opened LRc for the first time in a while and, after a few minutes, it started to import every folder, from every connected drive - most of which are for Word, Excel, pdf's etc. I now have the full file structure (with hundreds of folders) from every drive, shown in Lightroom. I need to get rid of all of these irrelevant folders from LR (not from my drives of course!) and prevent this ever happening again.

How do I get back to having only the folders I imported photos from originally? Why did this happen and how do I prevent it happening again once I have things back to where they should be?

Please post info about the version of Lightroom you are using and also for your operating system.

See the guidelines.

Hi DdeGannes,

Thanks for responding.

Unbelievably, I had to reboot my PC this morning to solve another issue and, on restarting, all of the unwanted folders have disappeared from LRc! I am back to exactly where I wanted to be and the few photos I was importing at the time have successfully arrived in the library.

I find this, after being a PC user right back to MS-DOS around 1981 or so, to be beyond my conmprehension. I jsut hope the issue doesn't arise again.

Best wishes,

Ed
