LRC Not Responding when Importing ?

Hey, Im running the latest version of LRC, on windows, all drivers up to date etc.

LRC opens and I can edit imported images, however, when I try and import new images, the program hangs and becomes unresponsize.

Ive tried re-installing many times, cant get it to work.
(ive been a user of LRC for decades)

Legend

When importing, is it Copy, Copy as DNG or Add?
If not Add, can you external from LrC, copy via Windows File Explorer, then in LrC, import via Add? And does that fail?
If that failed, try again selecting Copy, but change the destination.
If that fails, now that the destination was changed, try via Add again.

Yes lots of steps for a diagnostic, not a fix.

its as soon as I hit import... I'll go back and see which setting its at.
