Question

Migration to Confusion - Videos

Before migrating from Classic to Desktop, I synced all of my collections to the cloud so they would be in albums in cc. Unfortunately none of my videos synced so I went ahead and added them all to the cloud manually. However, now all of my video files are in Lightroom in the designated folder for originals, so if I go to migrate my catalog from Classic, I will have duplicates of every video file in the new location. Help! Is there a way to migrate JUST images? Or perhaps a way to migrate them all and then easily figure out where the duplicates are? (They're not virtual copies) Or during migration will it be able to see there are duplicates?

Update: so I'm thinking since my video files are now safely in the designated folder for originals where I directed lightroom to store them...I can delete all the video files from the "orignal files" folder that Lightroom Classic was pulling from. Is this a correct thought? Then when I go to migrate from Classic it will migrate everything but videos will NOT be in that folder that my catalog pulls from. Yes??

Create a temporary backup copy of the videos and place same in a folder that's not linked to Lightroom. If things don't go as you expect them to, then you've still got backup copies.
