Missing photos- no missing photo icons !?

Question

Photos do not show up in LR Classic11.2. No missing file icons like the exclamation point or the little rectangle. All of the folder structure shows up in the right panel. If I click on a photo in the right panel and select show in finder, the file is there and I can open it outside of LR. Keywords are present, develop module history is there, but no photos display.

A little history. I did move my photos to an external drive. The catalog exists on my MBpro. Initially when I moved the photos I did have to do the locate photo and all photos were located and everything was fine. Because I have so many old LR catalogs because of upgrades and such, I was losing track. So I renamed my catalog to Master Catalog and again everything was fine. But now for some reason things are not working.

I'm kind of stuck. HELP

I have to apologize. I always seem to solve a problem after I post for help.

I right clicked and selected update folder location. However, I just selected the location that was already selected. Shut down LR and re-launched. Presto.... Photos appeared.
