Question

Specific-color brush tool Lightroom feature

Hey,

I want to spot pick a color from my image so that I can grab the specific color from the background of a license plate, and use a brush to paint over the license plate numbers with that same color from the background. I know it's possible because I've done it once before but never figured out how to do it again. This would really help, thanks!

Are you sure that wasn't in Photoshop? Lightroom does not have any brush that paints a solid color, only a color overlay. A color overlay cannot be used to erase a license plate. The numbers will always remain visible, because painting with a color overlay is like painting with water color.

Hey,
Got it; I do believe it was in Lightroom though. I was able to pick out a
color and just brush over it with that color to hide the numbers. But I can
download photoshop and see if it’s possible through there and if that was
where I did it.

Like I said: in Lightroom masking you can pick a color and brush with that color, but because it is a color overlay, it won't completely brush away the underlying numbers. It just adds a bit of color to them.

I'm asking because I want to hide the license plate in the image in a natural-looking way

I mean the license plate numbers
