Sync ceased to function

My LR Classic unexpectedly ceased funcioning with the web and hence with my iPad and iPhone. I am using the latest versions of LR Classic and Mac OS. I have tried turning pause on and off; stating and restarting both the program and the computer. I singed out and back into the web app. Though I have used LR and this feature for a long time, I have no idea what to try next to get syncing to resume.

The drop down menu says 15 files are syncing, but the files are not updating on the web or the iPad. Also, 15 is not the right number based on my activity with synced collections. There are no files listed in the preferences panel for syncing as syncing--it is blank.

Suggestions appreciated; thank you.

LIkewise, I'm experiencing the same issue. My Lightroom Classic photos sync up to Lightroom Mobile, but the edits from Mobile don't sync back. I've Rebuilt Sync Data, followed by Optimize Catalog, followed again by Rebuild Sync Data. I even closed and rebooted between rebuilds to no luck.

My syning issue is solved, for right now anyway. Unexpectedly when launching LR Classic I received a message that my catalog was corrupt and would be repaired. I held my breath while the process proceded. The voila! LR Classic launched and began syncing. Why this didn't happen the dozens of other times i launched LR and it wasn't syncing I have no clue. I also would like to know how to intentionally lauch the repair process if I have syncing issues again.

Potentially running Optimise could do this fix as it removes cruft from the catalog.

I have also tried rebuilding my sync data from the preferences panel; making the button appear with the option key.
