transferring LR to a new MacBook pro

I am trying to move my LR Classic to a new macboo pro.  I transferered the pictures to the new had drive but do not see anything in LR when I open it.  I guess this is because the catalog did not transfer.  I have several catalogs in my old computer's app folder. Do I transfer only what appears to be the latest?  Does it go in to the new computers application folder?  Finally how do I notify adobe I want to discontinue old computer's license and move it to the new comptuer?
