Video files from Autel Evo 2 get wrong timestamp -- all video files get stamped as 1/1/1904

This has been an issue ever since this drone came out two years ago. I can't believe this bug is still with us.

Anyway, I have an Autel Evo 2 drone. When I import files from the micro sd card into LRC the photos are all fine, but the video files get time stamped at 1/1/1904 at 12am. All future exported files get this incorrect timestamp. It has something to do with how the exif data is interpreted.

Adobe watched me demonstrate this with a screenshare. Hopefully someone will look at this. I can't find a workaround. Good luck!

To build on Johan's reply, if you attach a small sample video here (unedited, less than 47 MB), I can determine authoritatively why LR isn't reading the capture date, whether the camera isn't following industry standards or there's a bug in LR.

But in the near term, Johan's recommendation to use Metadata > Edit Capture Time is the only practical solution.

Wrong capture dates are a known issue with videos from many cameras. It is caused by the fact that there is not one single specification how to write these dates in video metadata. The solution is easy. Select the videos, choose 'Metadata - Edit Capture Time' and then select 'Change to file's creation date'.
