add SELECTED photos from apple iCloud photos to Lightroom

I would like to add SELECTED images from apple iCloud photos (where 27,000 originals are located) directly into Lightroom CC.  I do not want to put entire photo library onto Lightroom CC at this time. I would think there must be a way to do this, but haven't been able to find.  I do have space in Creative Cloud .Thanks for any help
