my Lightroom account says that i have run out of space for syncing my lightroom data. Is there a way to reduce the actual number of photos I have in LR so that I can free up space for those files that I absolutely need to sync?

The only way is to delete some images from the Cloud.

What is your exact workflow and which versions of Lightroom are you using, so someone on these forums may be able to provide some further advice?
