How to move Photo Albums (6000+photos) on PC into Lightroom

Thank you for the two replies. Unfortunately I am still floundering. I doubt that I can move complete albums from PC into Lightroom, so I may have to batch them into small groups. If so how to do that that? As much specific advice you can provide is greatly appreciated.

You cannot import Albums, only photos.

As Jon highlighted in the other thread, select an Album that has already been created or create a new one on import.
