Importing from SD card on Android?

How do I import photos from an SD card on the Android version of Lightroom? When I connect an SD card (via USB adapter) to the tablet, Lightroom recognizes the card, but it just offers to use that card as storage. I want to import photos from the card to the Lightroom library instead.
