Issues with S-Pen on Lightroom for Samsung, while using the S8 Ultra 8GB/128GB

I found the masking interface to be quite frustrating, while using my S-Pen. As I was trying to subtract from a mask with the brush, the image kept zooming and unzooming as well as hiding and unhiding the interface, more often than manipulating the mask. Perhaps I was moving the pen too quickly? I found the best success while moving the S-Pen very slowly. But even then, I still experienced the same issues, just less frequently. Eventually, I tried my finger and it seemed to be a better option. I'm hoping this is an issue with my technique and not a side-effect of only having 8GB of ram. The image was taken with my S22 Ultra's main camera. Has anyone experienced this or have any tips? Thank you in advance.
